Nissan has launched a UK domestic energy product that combines solar panels and storage. The company described Nissan Energy Solar as an ‘all in one’ solution that could encompass charging an electric vehicle (Nissan offers the Leaf and e-NV200 options) and on cloudy days.
The new product also includes a home energy management system. The company says UK prices will start at £3881. That includes the supply and installation of a six panel solar system, home energy management system, and VAT at 5%.
It says a family located in the southeast, at home on average half a day and with an annual electricity demand of 4,500kWh, would reduce electricity bills by 66% with a 4kWp Solar PV system and 7.5kWh storage system installed.
