British start up Myenergi has launched ‘Zappi’, a range of smart electric vehicle chargers intended to allow consumers to use green energy sources for transport.
The EV chargers combine self-generated domestic energy with green energy from Octopus Energy. There are larger capacity products for workplaces and they are ‘untethered’, which means any vehicle can plug in.
Myenergi said the Zappi range will ‘bridge the gap’ between renewable energy and electric vehicles. Drivers can access carbon-free driving at 1p/mile on Octopus Energy’s tariff designed specifically for EV drivers – Octopus Energy Go – by automatically charging at the when the low, off-peak rate kicks in.
I have 4kW of PV and a Czero electric car.
I do not have a smart meter but I do have a dual rate meter, so I would be interested in a time of use tariff.
Look forward to hearing from you.
