Electricity networks have asked for feedback on what is required from a ‘system wide resource register’ that will provide  comprehensive information on the distributed energy resources (DER) that are connected to distribution networks.

A product team has been developing options to implement the register under the Open Networks project run by the Energy Networks Association. It wants to find out what aspects of a resource register are most relevant to users.

The team has brought together the information available from each of the distriction networks here and is monitoring how it is used in order to develop a single enduring solution.

It is holding a webinar on Tuesday 23 July to talk users through the scope of the System Wide Resource Register,  and how it is proposed to be implemented.

Stakeholder feedback during the webinar, or any comments submitted by email, will feed into the development of the lasting solution.
