AMPower has been threatened with expulsion from the Balancing and Settlement Code (BSC), the agreement the governs electricity suppliers and other parties who take part in the electricity market. The supplier has been told that it has 28 days to act to meet necessary requirements on credit and collateral.
AMPower has already been warned by Ofgem that it must make outstanding payments due to renewables generators under the Renewables Obligation – one of five companies warned by the regulator. Ofgem is set to make a final order to compel Ampoweruk to pay its RO bill of £3,590,236.
