RES has signed two new asset management agreements for battery installations.
One is with TagEnergy, which has awarded RES the contract to manage the 49MW/98MWh Jamesfield Farm standalone battery near Abernethy, Scotland. This is the third energy storage asset management contract RES has been awarded by TagEnergy in the last 12 months.
The second is with Thrive Renewables for the 20MW/30MWh battery at Feeder Road in Bristol.
RES’s asset management team will oversee operations at both energy storage sites. Franck Woitiez, CEO at TagEnergy said: “We value RES and the relationship we have built with the RES team means we are confident Jamesfield Farm will support the transition to a more sustainable future by using our combined expertise to drive the flow of clean energy from renewable sources.”
Matthew Clayton, Managing Director at Thrive Renewables said: “We’re happy to be working with RES and drawing on the company’s comprehensive track record in professional asset management. Thrive’s diversified portfolio now includes onshore wind, solar, hydro, geothermal and battery storage and our latest project – a 20MW battery asset in Bristol – will help bring further flexibility and balancing services to the grid.”
