Amazon has signed a renewable energy power purchase agreement (PPA) with Iberdrola for 159MW of East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm.

Amazon has also signed PPAs with Iberdrola to enable projects in Germany, the US, and elsewhere in the UK. Over the life of the PPAs, Amazon has contracted 54,000GWh of renewable energy from Iberdrola.

The 1.4GW East Anglia THREE project 69km off the coast of Suffolk will be powered by 95 Siemens Gamesa 14.7MW turbines and will be fully operational in 2026.
The new agreement was announced at the Haizea Wind Group facility in Bilbao where the manufacture of 50 monopiles is under way for the East Anglia THREE turbines.
