Transport for London is planning to move to electric vehicles for its operational support fleet. It has begun market engagement on upgrading infrastructure across its network and installing electric vehicle charge points.
It will look for a contractor to carry out feasibility studies, design, supply, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of charging infrastructure and electrification consultancy services for around 1,000 vehicles. The infrastructure will be required sites across London, including depots, tube stations, bus stations and offices.
Procurement will begin in October but TFL is undertaking early market engagement via a questionnaire on market interest, understanding and outlook, delivery models, charging solutions, site selection and risks and issues. The questionnaire, available here, has to be completed by 28 March.
