Battery operator Varco Energy has selected GE Vernova to develop a 47.5MW, 2 hour battery in Cornwall, called Sambar Power.
GE Vernova’s Solar & Storage Solutions business has been contracted to supply the complete battery system and controls, and the company has also signed a long-term service agreement.
James Mills, Director, Varco Energy noted that Sambar Power is Varco’s second project contracted with GE Vernova and its third overall.
