Battery green light for RES

Angus Council has given development consent for RES’s 49.9MW Dunmill battery.
The battery is on land adjacent to Bridge of Dun Substation, 5km west of Montrose.
Peter Deeney, Development Project Manager for RES, said: “We’d like to thank the local residents and stakeholders for their feedback and support on this application. The collaborative design process resulted in a better proposal which will be able to deliver a
range of benefits both economically and environmentally.”
The construction phase is expected to take around 12 months.
