Apatura has received planning consent for a 40MW/80MWh battery at the village of Eaglesham in East Renfrewshire, Scotland.

The eight-acre Glasgow Road site brings Apatura’s consented battery portfolio to eight, totaling 1.5GW, all of which has received planning consent in the last 18 months.

The facility will be screened with native planting with batteries coloured green to blend into the surroundings. It is expected to be in use for 40 years.
