Forecourt operator Motor Fuel Group (MFG), has announced plans to install more than 360 150kW EV chargers at hubs throughout the UK in 2023 at an investment of £50 million.
The investment is up from 2022 when it installed 271 chargers. It forms part of its commitment to invest £400 million in EV infrastructure by 2030.
The company currently has 54 charging hubs open throughout the UK with 271 chargers in operation. Construction began on 12 EV hubs during January 2023.
MFG hubs will each have between four and eight 150kW EV chargers, which add 100 miles range in approximately 10 minutes. MFG said these would be augmented with 300kW+ chargers as vehicle battery technology improves to maintain the fastest charging times across the MFG network.
