West Berkshire Council has says it intends to bring a planned solar farm to the market later this year, anticipated in Q4 2023.
The Grazeley solar farm, which is estimated to cost around £10 million, was approved by the council’s Procurement Board on 11 January 2021 and it received planning approval in August 2022.
The council expects that the 60,000 solar panels, to be installed on up to 75 acres of land it already owns, would offset around 30 per cent of West Berkshire Council’s carbon footprint.
