Northern Powergrid seeks more flexibility services from customers

Northern Powergrid has invited customers to participate in its dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for Customer Flexibility Services.
It wants to enable a local market for flexibility services by creating a level playing field for all providers as flexibility is an alternative to building new network. The company says it is committed to the use of flexibility solutions instead of or to defer network reinforcement solutions wherever appropriate.
The DPS will be split down by post code, and Northern Powergid may add more locations throughout the life of the DPS.
Details of the locations of proposed locations requiring Customer Flexibility Service can be found on the Flexible Power website, which has brings together flexibility opportunities from all the GB distribution system operators.
