Uniper to bring to two solar farms online in 2026

Uniper is set to begin construction of two solar projects in the Midlands.
The Tamworth farm in Alvecote, Tamworth, will have a capacity of 44.20MWp, while the Totmonslow farm in Draycott in the Moors, will have a capacity of 21.33MWp.
The Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors for the schemes are Sunotec UK Ltd for Tamworth and Sustainable Bright for Totmonslow. Uniper expects the first electricity to be fed into the national grid in 2026.
Both the Tamworth and Totmonslow solar projects were granted planning consent in 2023. The Tamworth project was awarded a Contract for Difference (CfD) in the AR6 CFD auction in August 2024.
