National Gas and Power Limited, a small non-domestic supplier with around 80 customers, has ceased trading. Ofgem has appointed Hudson Energy as supplier of last resort for the customers.
Ofgem did not invite expressions of interest from suppliers other than Hudson Energy to become supplier of last resort. The regulator said the number of affected customers was small, and National Gas and Power previously had a white label relationship with Hudson Energy. ”These pre-existing links will allow for a smooth transition of NPG customers to Hudson Energy,” Ofgem said.
National Gas and Power’s electricity and gas supply licences have been revoked.
