The Combined Heat and Power Association has changed its name to the Association for Distributed Energy.
Announcing the change, the organisation launched a report highlighting the “invisible” energy that had been saved since 1980. The report noted that the UK’s economy had doubled since 1980 but the industrial, commercial and public sector uses less energy than it did then.
The organisation called on the government to develop “clear simple policies” to continue that trend, saying that current policies do not work well together and send mixed signals.
