Much-delayed decision on the twin reactor could now be taken in February
Plans to build the UK’s first nuclear reactor since Sizewell B have been delayed again after an EDF board meeting at the end of January took the final investment decision off the agenda. When it was first mooted, EDF said a twin plant at Hinkley Point in Somerset would start up by Christmas 2017; now the start could be a decade later and the project itself remains in doubt.
