The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has four new non-executive board members. They are: Dame Carolyn McCall, chief executive of Easyjet; Kathryn Parsons, co-founder and chief executive of Decoded; Stephen Carter, group chief executive of Informal; and Stuart Quickened, managing partner at Boston Consulting Group.

Co-operative Energy has named David Bird as its new chief executive. Bird was previously head of domestic supply at E.On.
