As Ofgem prepares to begin the tender process to own and operate connections to three new offshore wind farms, New Power Report takes a look at the Ofto story so far

Ofgem has listed five consortia that will be included in invitations to tender to be the owners and operators of the connections to three new offshore wind farms – Beatrice, Hornsea One and East Anglia One.

This is the sixth Offshore Transmission Owner (Ofto) tender round, in which consortia can bid to own and operate an offshore connection for a 25-year period.
