The planned Wylfa Newydd nuclear power plant in Wales could attract more than £8 billion of funding from Japan alongside British government funding, reports Nikkei Asian Review. It reports that the Hitachi-designed power plant, to be built by Horizon Nuclear Power is likely to cost around £19 billion and suggested that the UK might pay at least 25% of that, with Hitachi shouldering around 10%.
