​Ofgem has opened an investigation into whether there has been an infringement of Chapter I of the Competition Act 1998, which concerns anti-competitive agreements and concerted practices.

 It said the investigation, opened in October, is limited to a small number of parties, and “We are planning to reach a decision on whether to proceed with the investigation or to close the investigation by the end of December 2016.”
