Gaia Wind, a Glasgow-based supplier of small-scale wind turbines, has gone into liquidation.
The firm had been operating since 2011 and has supplied 2,000 wind turbines in the UK and overseas. RenewableUK blamed the company’s closure on the government’s failure to set out how it intends to deliver small-scale renewable energy in the future.
Jenny Hogan, deputy chief executive of Scottish Renewables, said: “This disappointing news reflects clearly the state of this sector in the UK.
