A “sense of urgency” about addressing failings in the competitive energy market – and especially how they affect vulnerable customers – was the subject of a lecture given by Professor Martin Cave in memory of Gill Owen, who died in August 2016.
Gill Owen had been a strong presence in energy regulation for many years, and was described during the event (hosted by Sustainability First at Ofgem) as having “led the way in bringing social policy into regulation”.
