Steel fabricator Mabey Bridge has put its renewable energy business on the market, as part of a major restructuring that will also see its Chepstow factory close.
The company said regarding the renewables business, which makes wind turbine towers, that “we anticipate that a buyer can be found to provide the necessary investment to support this business in the long-term”. The division reportedly made a loss of £24 million.
