Siemens reported no growth in its conventional power business in an update on first quarter trading, but more positive results in its wind sector.
Wind turbine orders had almost halved in the period compared to the previous year, largely due to lower orders in Germany and the USA. However, the company said it had increased revenue from turbine services and overall its wind division saw revenue up by 8%. It said work was progressing on efforts to solve technical problems with main bearings and plates.
