Plans to open a tender for construction of offshore wind in several zones offshore of the Netherlands face a delay.
The tender was due to be opened at the end of March. However, implementing legislation that will set a legal basis for offshore connections and appoint onshore grid operator Tennet as offshore grid operator was rejected by the country’s government in December. The tender round now awaits a replacement bill, which is expected to be presented by the end of April and it is hoped will be passed in May.
