Civil engineers want infrastructure ‘vision’

The Institution of Civil Engineers has launched a consultation on the UK’s infrastructure needs.

The ‘National Needs Assessment’ (NNA) aims to provide a cross-sector assessment of the UK’s national economic infrastructure needs to 2050 – energy, transport, communications, water, waste and flooding – and identify options for how they can be met.

The ICE wants to know how and when we should invest in infrastructure to ensure it is resilient, flexible and efficient and, among other aims, promotes timely investment in low-carbon provision.
