Ofgem wants suppliers to “move early” on getting disengaged energy customers to be more active in the market, saying it will “not be easy or quick” to get customers who rarely look at their bills to engage.
In its initial response, the regulator promised to carry out trials to see what types of customer engagement were most effective, including randomised testing of ‘prompts’ to switch.
