Open war seems to have broken out in the industry between large central generation and distributed plant. It is a debate that has been bubbling under for a long while – how best can we allocate the cost of a transmission system that will be used less but remain key, not least to our plans for large-scale renewables? And how best can we reward embedded plant for reducing the burden on that system?
