A £10.8 million project on the Isles of Scilly is to test the role of electric vehicles and home batteries in a low-carbon smart grid.
Smart battery company Moixa will develop platforms that will allow electric vehicles and smart home batteries to be used to help balance supply and demand within the islands’ energy system, although the project will not fund the electric vehicles and charging points themselves.
