Utiligroup has been acquired by Energy Services Group, the billing and back office provider backed by US private equity firm Accel-KKR, according to a report in the Financial Times. ESG provides services for about 150 energy retailers worldwide. The FT estimated the price of the acquisition to be £100 million.

RWE’s Dutch company Essent is importing green gas to meet growing demand there. The green gas is produced by JV Energen at Poundbury and delivered by Barrow Green Gas.
