Wrexham Power Limited has been granted a development consent order for the Wrexham Energy Centre, a new combined cycle gas turbine power station on the site of a disused fibreglass factory on the industrial estate in northeast Wales.

The company is a joint venture between Glenfinnan and St Modwen, and the power plant will be up to 299MW capacity.
