Ofgem has named Transmission Capital Partners as the preferred bidder to own and operate the connection to the 400MW Dudgeon offshore wind farm. The consortium – INPP, Amber Infrastructure and Transmission Investment – offered £377 million and it will be its seventh offshore transmission operator (Ofto). The link is currently owned by a consortium of Masdar, Statoil ASA and Statkraft.
Dudgeon is the first “round four” offshore wind farm with a preferred bidder. Tenders for connections to Race Bank, Walney Extension, Galloper and Rampion will be invited in 2018.
