The Scottish Government does not know how much it will recover of the more than £9 million in loans provided to failed supply company Our Power, it said in April in response to a Freedom of Information request. Our Power went out of business in January this year. However, the Scottish Government is pressing ahead with plans for a publicly owned energy comapny. “We are committed to delivering the ambition of a public energy company in partnership with local authorities by the end of this current Parliament,” a Scottish Government spokesperson told New Power.
