Eirgrid Group’s annual report for 2018 showed that revenues for the year to October 2018 increased from €579.4 million to €758.4 million. Pre- tax profit was €65.8 million. This has enabled the group to deliver a €4 million dividend payment to the Irish government, the same as 2017. The figures reveal that the transmission company received an insurance settlement pay out of €8.7 million last September because of the interconnector with mainland UK being out of action for three months in 2016 following a maintenance accident.
