The cost of the new Capacity Market (CM) is "unbelievably sensitive" to a range of factors in the bids submitted to the process, including the number of years used to recover costs, electricity prices and prices bid into the auction, Dan Roberts of Frontier Economics told a meeting on EMR organised by Cornwall Energy. Roberts said that in auction process "you can get any outcome with credible numbers " saying it could be affected by political expectations and forecast energy costs, among others.
